Hannah Levitt

Hannah was born in Vilno, Poland, and moved with her family to Oudtshoorn, South Africa. She married Dennis and has three sons. Hannah lived in Durban, Margate, and Cape town, South Africa, before emigrating to Toronto in 1993 to be closer to her sons.

Hannah has been drawing and painting since 1980. She studied oils and sculpture at the Ruth Prowse School of Art and botanical art using pencil crayons with Thalia Lincoln, the internationally recognized botanical artist. Hanna’s work has frequently been included in exhibitions in South Africa and she has participated in a number of group shows in Canada.
