Botanicals especially appeal to me given my love of the natural world. Botanical art is a blend of art and science, where accuracy is important and the wonder of the specimen is seen through the artist's eye; the ordinary becomes extraordinary. Much of my subject matter is found locally in the Woodbridge and East Humber river area.
I enjoy working in various media including watercolour, pen and ink and, more recently, acrylic. My painting of the Bloodroot was published in 2008 in a fundraising book titled Oakridge's Moraine, Connecting with Nature, Artists Preserving the Moraine with Paint.
I offer workshops and private instruction.
